St John the Baptist is one of the first churches inspired by the Oxford Movement. Designed in 1845 in the early English style by John Brown, surveyor of Norwich Cathedral. It is constructed in brick and clad in Bath/ashlar stone with slate roofs and has a tower at the West. Come and see the four carved angels hoovering over the chancel and Sanctuary. Come on a sunny and see the light from stained glass dance across the church and visit the mass grave for the victims of the 1849 a cholera epidemic
