The church stands boldly on the 'Military Road' in West Wight half a mile from the coast with fine views to the Needles and the Purbeck coast.

There is a large well maintained churchyard. The interior is mostly late Gothic. There are many memorials and five lovely stained glass windows by Charles Kempe. There is a fine organ and a beautifully carved pulpit.

One of the ring of regularly rung six bells is old enough to have been tolled when the Spanish Armada sailed close by. Find out our association with a former President of Hungary. All recorded burials in the churchyard since 1679 are listed and mapped, a great help to people searching for their forebears.

We have just completed interior improvements to facilities with the help of a generous gift from the National Churches Trust among others. The church patron is Keble College, Oxford.
