A distinguished but not listed building by William Hale of Birmingham (1835-1910). Although Historic England refused listing, partly on the grounds that the interior had been compromised by 1980 alterations, the current repair proposals are part of a bolder scheme to remove much of the 1980 work which will allow the interior to recover much of what had been lost. The grant will fund stonework, window and gutter repairs.

Top tips from feedback:

- Find out as much as possible about the specialist skills you will need to complete the project. We hadn't realised just how specialist the terracotta repairs would be.
