The church dates from the early C14th, including the octagonal stone font. There is also a C15th tower at the west end which has a 156 ft octagonal spire. The C17th and C18th bells are rung regularly. In 2004 the west end of the nave was modernised to create an open space for more flexible church and community use - some pews removed, small kitchen and disabled WC installed.

The grant will help fund a project of exterior stonework repairs and repointing.
