All Saints

All Saints church is a very distinctive and ancient building which is thought to date from the second half of the 10th century. The lower sections of the west tower and unusual western stair turret are of this date, as are sections of the nave walls above the later 13th century arcades. The remainder of the building, north and south aisles, clerestory, chancel, north chapel and the upper stage of the tower date variously from the 13th through to the 15th centuries.

The works will repair the roof of the chancel following lead theft. This theft completely stripped the chancel roof of its lead covering and therefore this project is to reinstate this roof covering with terne-coated stainless steel.
