This is the parish church of little Caldey Island, where both islanders and monks are buried, their graves marked by wooden crosses.
Caldey Island, Pembrokeshire
There may have been a church here as early as the 6th century, but the building as it stands today is a simple Norman structure, repaired in the 1800s, and restored twice in the 20th century.
The font was designed by Eric Gill, and the stained glass was made in the 1920s by Theodore Bailey, one of the island's monks. The liveliest glass is in the Fish Window, a 20th century take on the ancient Christian symbol of the fish.
