The church of St Mary in Abbeycwmhir was built in 1865 by Mary Beatrice Phillips, sister of the squire.
Opening times
Our church is never locked, so we welcome visitors to rest awhile at any time (although our old door does need a hefty push, especially during wet weather).

It is a building of the most simple kind on the outside.
Inside everything is wonderfully askew: the chancel does not line up with the nave, the little medieval screen is tilted, and the chancel timbers have warped with time. The font is Norman.
