St Esprit
Marton, Warwickshire
St Esprit is a grade ll* listed church that was substantially rebuild in the 1890s, one of the more unusual features is the wall mounted zinc plates that are around the church.
With its pale walls and red tiled roof, its Tuscan west front and its charming little cupola, this tiny parish church could almost have been transplanted from some Greek or Italian village.
Birdingbury, Warwickshire
The impression is reinforced inside by the beautiful painted and gilded ceiling in the gothic apse, which was added to the original Georgian church in 1873, along with the screen, altar rails and chancel stalls.
The font, box pews and pulpit belong to the 18th century church. The chancel window depicting St Leonard was given by Sir Theophilus Biddulph of neighbouring Birdingbury Hall.
