All Saints

A late 13th century and early 14th century church. One of the smaller, if not the smallest church, in Norfolk with an exceptional priest's tomb dated early 1300s in north east of the chancel, which could be that of the churchÕs first priest. The church has a Nelson connection, with a plaque dedicated to John James Stephen's ward, a child of Nelson's daughter, Horatia. It is a very calm, peaceful, and beautiful church. The building is used by the benefice of Docking for the Harvest Festival, All Saints Day, Christmas Carols, and monthly evensong during the spring and summer months. It is an important small church on the tourist trail because of its connections to Nelson. The grant was to help fund retiling of the chancel roof overhauling of rainwater goods needed and relaying of the drainage system.
