Holy Trinity has been a centre of worship, refuge and comfort for over a thousand years.

Pip and Jim’s is a dramatic Victorian landmark in the harbour area of Ilfracombe.

The place name St Levan comes from Selevan or Salamon, the original patron saint of the church, chapel and holy well here. Salamon is recorded as a 10th century Cornish dedication and may be the Breton king assassinated in 874AD.

The church was founded in 1777 by by Willielma Maxwell, Viscountess Glenorchy, Lady Glenorchy, as an Independent Church.

Legendary hilltop church with a perfect interior.

There was probably a church on this hilltop overlooking the River Exe in late Saxon times, but the first stone church was erected shortly after the Norman Conquest and consecrated in 1073.
