The church was designed by Edward Welby Pugin (son of Augustus Welby Pugin) and built between 1873 - 1876 to replace a chapel in the grounds which now forms part of St Joseph's High School.

The church is an important early example of the Greek Revival architecture and it is mostly built from brick, faced with Portland stone.

Designed by architect Thomas Allom, a founder member of what would become the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Dating mainly from the 1190s, Warnford church has an earlier tower and Saxon roots. The first church on the site may have been built by St Wilfrid in the 680s.

Tucked behind busy Oxford Street lies this gem of High Victorian Gothic architecture, designed by William Butterfield and completed in 1859.

Designed by Philip Hardwicke and completed in 1823, the design is based in St Paul's in Covent Garden, with many internal design features referencing our patron St John the Evangelist.

Our history is inexorably entwined with some of the most radical and progressive developments of the modern age, and yet the core principles at the centre of our congregation remain as true today as they were when the church began.

An interesting and beautiful church in a lovely village setting.

This church was consecrated by the Bishop of London on St Luke’s Day, 18th October 1824 and was built because the original parish church (now known as Chelsea Old Church) was regarded as too small for the increasing population.
