Rudgwick church is hidden away behind the Kings Head pub, barely visible from the road, it is a gem of a church commanding wonderful views across to the South Downs.

From BC to AD, where quite old meets really quite old, the church and megalith have a history that spans the millennia; come and stand in the shade of living history.

A ‘hidden gem’ church, Grade II listed, with links to adjacent Rufford Old Hall (National Trust).

Centrally located in Rugby, with an atmosphere of peace and spirituality, we welcome visitors, pilgrims, guests and more to our church, to drop in, visit our cafe or attend one of our events.

The church started near the railway station, when Rugby was an expanding railway engineering town.

The current building is 200 years old, there has been a church on this site since the 10th century.

From a distance the late medieval flint and flushwork tower is typical of East Anglian country churches, but the surprise on reaching the south side of churchyard is quite the most splendid Norman doorway.

The church was built as a Victorian school room then donated to the Catholic church by the Cornwallis West family of Ruthin Castle.
