The building was a former Temperance Institute.

A church was founded in 1225 on the west bank of the River Leven and rebuilt in the village in 1640.

Rural church, surrounded by ancient graveyard and outstanding views towards Ben Lomond.

The church has been dated to the 15th century, with the nave and chancel possibly of an earlier date.

This ancient church has many unusual features. Perhaps most intriguing is the rare, 11th century conical tower.

A small chapel dedicated to the unusual St Hulanus or Ulette, which was probably built before the medieval castle and constructed on top of the ruins of the Dark Age settlement.

Externally plain, slated and harled Georgian rural parish kirk of 1832, incorporating 15th century sacrament house and 17th century monuments of national significance from earlier church.

Presbyterians have worshipped together in Waringstown since 1846, our current church building was built and opened in 1853.
