St Doged’s has taken on a new role as a Pilgrim Church.

A typical little Welsh church at the heart of Ceredigion’s lead mining country.

The church was built in 1911-12 to the designs of the architects Pugin & Pugin.

Priory of Augustinian canons founded early in the 12th century in the beautiful and secluded Ewyas valley.

Described as an 'architectural gem' and considered by Cardinal Bourne to be the most beautiful Catholic church in England!

Described as one of the prettiest and best proportioned churches of the Peak, it stands proud in a small hillside village and one of the highest villages in England.

This is a quintessential Borders church, built of red sandstone with a sturdy, castle like tower, and in a very rural setting. Its nave is Norman, the chancel a little later, and the tower later still.

Nearly 1,000 years old.

All Saints church was originally built in the 12th century as a chapel for the monks of Evesham Abbey.
