A Grade I listed Norman church, rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries, of architectural and sculptural importance. The imposing stone door frame is carved with three levels of chevron and dogtooth carving. The interior has medieval and 17th century wall paintings. An exterior 12th century tympanum depicts Christ in Majesty and a memorial to the Tayler family is on the east wall. Seven listed chest tombs are in the churchyard. The church is used by locals and visitors for quiet contemplation or a rest from cycling/walking, including visitors from around the world, many of whose loved ones or ancestors are buried here.
