The building was built in 1933 and its simplicity and high ceiling create a beautiful space for worship and times of prayer.

One of the privileges of St Polycarps, is the Sheffield Flood Memorial which lists the names of those who died in Malin Bridge in the flood and is a stark reminder of the loss in the area. There are also war memorials for both World Wars.
