It was built in 1889, and retains its 19th century fittings. The minister at the time was Emrys ap Iwan, advocate of Welsh government and language.

The pews are arranged in a semicircle in front of an impressive array of organ pipes. Traceried windows illuminate the interior, with a broad hammer beam roof.
