The church of Christ the King is a striking, modern building, opened in 1979. Situated at the top of a hill in the townland of Strathroy, just outside of Omagh. The flat roof church is constructed of reinforced concrete and noted for its vertical stained glass windows and modern interiors. A local landowner, businessman and farmer named Eamonn Cunningham, gifted the parish the land to built the church on.

  • A £7,250 development grant will enable the church to investigate the source of water ingress and solutions to make the building water tight. Funding for the grant comes from the Department for Communities Historic Environment Division's Covid-19 Culture,
