The Church was built in 1857 as the town of Pitlochry grew.

This church is Scotland's only complete church by the highly respected architect Sir Ninian Comper.

In a tranquil setting in a green glen and close to the rushing River Esk, Cortachy Church is close to the gates of the castle, to which it belongs.

Three windows in the porch are associated with the Ben Nevis Peace Cairn.

This ancient church has many unusual features. Perhaps most intriguing is the rare, 11th century conical tower.

Externally plain, slated and harled Georgian rural parish kirk of 1832, incorporating 15th century sacrament house and 17th century monuments of national significance from earlier church.
