Adeiladwyd yr eglwys gyntaf ar y safle hwn yn 1841, ond fe’i difrodwyd yn ddifrifol gan dân. Yn ôl yr hanes, ym mis Mai 1891, cynhaliodd y Ficer ‘briodas yn yr adfeilion’.

The structure we see today is in the Early English style. Inside the east window is by Kempe and dates from 1900. There have been many alterations over the years, including the latest major renovation which took place in 2015-16. The yew tree in the churchyard is said to be 1000 years old.
